I am not saying he will not sign or veto. I expect him to sign or veto every single one. However, that he signs or vetos them before midnight tonight doesn't mean he has to put up his press release informing the public of the final outcome tonight.

Attacking the Governor over such delays etc indicates severe lack of understanding.

Maybe we should wait until after midnight to call him names...

(or not call him names at all.)

Why did he wait until so late in the period after the Legislature adjourned? They've been on his desk for - what - two weeks? What the hell has he been doing up until this weekend?

Interesting that the Legislature itself waited until the last minute, then crammed these four through.

              +1 on this.

Democracy is messy. Folks often forget that there is no requirement that legislative actions agree with their world view.

Even if we lose all tonight, the governor and the office both deserve our respect.

                You're absolutely correct, bwiese.

We shouldn't be attacking Gov. Brown over the delay in reporting.

Instead, we should be attacking Gov. Brown over his political history.

                Attack away.

No. If he allows them to become law he deserves our wrath.

That's what I'm doing wrong...off to the liquor cabinet!
False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction. The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes.

This thread is hotter than 'Fast and Furious' the past couple of hours... I feel like we are all teenagers waiting for our girlfriends test to come back negative...

Anyone who thinks our legislative positioning is due to a failure by our side is just flat wrong. Similarly, anyone who thinks we gain votes in Sacramento by a 500-1000 gunnie march/meet needs to turn in their MMJ card.

We in California have and will continue to face this sort of legislative battle for the foreseeable future. Accept it, be productive, move on.
