I'd gladly pay a $1000 fee if it meant I got the CCW. The point I was making is Alameda has a requirement that is impossible to ever achieve.

Not everyone can afford $1000 for a CCW. you should only have to pay the absolute minimum required. rights shouldn't be priced out of the reach of a great many people.

ideally you should not even have to pay to exercise your rights, but since we do at this time it should not be a "rich" only club that gets to protect them self legally.

If we have to pay and be licensed, it shouldn't cost much more than DROS to get a CCW.

I paid $70 for my livescan when I got my real estate license. You'd think they could just take a thumb print and match it. I shouldn't hvae to pay another $95 for the same people to take the same scan and put it in some database.

why is it that the L.A. Sherif Dept. is so anti-CCW? I called my city police & they said for a CCW (santa monica PD) I need to go through Sherif b/c I live in Los Angeles County & that way I wont be restricted to CCW only in santa monica city. Makes sense right. Then I look into the CCW from LASD and hold the phone I find out Chief Lee Baca is very anti-ccw unless your a celebrity like stalone or you got the extra $$ - WTF, please dont vote for that idiot to be chief - he doesnt even let off duty sherif cary until they also get a CCW

The problem is, nobody runs against Baca. So the whole damn county could not vote for Baca and he'd still win the election simply by voting for himself.

Or hell, I don't know, if you run unopposed, do you even NEED one vote?
