Not sure where you are getting your stats but California teachers are not the highest paid in the nation. I know that the starting pay for a teacher in San Diego is only 18k a year. Not great wages if you have college loans to pay off and still try to live. I know many other states pay more than CA does for teachers. I also know what a lot of the teachers put up with and lets just say they have no control in the classroom because they are told they cannot discipline due to fear of lawsuits from parents.

While yes some of Browns ideas are out there he is still better than Meg will ever be. Sorry she is pro giving illegals rights and no matter how she tries to sugar coat that now I don't trust her to protect legal residents in CA. That alone loses my vote then throw in that she is not pro 2A well I wouldn't vote for her no matter who she was up against.

That's weird, starting pay is listed here as $36,244 for San Diego teachers.

If the race is basically down to a moderate-liberal (Jerry Brown), and the closet liberal disguised as a 'conservative-Republican', Meg Whitman. I sure as hell won't be voting for neither of the two. I'll cast my vote to a third-party candidate, even though they will not win, but I refuse to give my vote to Whitman or Brown. Heck, if California is still in a bad shape 4 years from now, at least I can say - Don't look at me...I'm a Libertarian.

IMHO, I think our biggest enemy in terms of 2A rights is Whitman. She is a closet Progressive-gun-grabber, who is posing as a moderate on gun rights. She is a Arnold Schwarzenegger/Lindsey Graham Republican (A fake Conservative that all Liberals/Progressives love). Come to think of it, she is no better than Brown in terms of economic issues (they both are into the Global warming hysteria, and both will surely raise your taxes).

But if the race is down to Brown vs Poizner, I will surely give my vote to Poizner, even if I don't know he will win.

Jerry Brown is a socially liberal, fiscally conservative, pro-gun candidate. Yes he's strange, just as that platform is strange. (sadly)

Speaking of Jerry's platform, does anyone know where to find it? I went to his campaign website (http://www.jerrybrown.org/) and all I could find was a list of things he has done in previous positions (http://www.jerrybrown.org/fightingforyou), which, while important, is only half the story. I also want to know what he says he wants to do (i.e., his agenda) if/when he becomes governor again.
