1924 is when CA gun dealers were required to submit DROS of handguns to CA DOJ.

What was reported as name & address of the transferee and the make, model, caliber, barrel length, & serial number of the handgun.

1991 is when private party transfers had to be done through a CA FFL dealer.

1996 is when CA DOJ BOF started inputting old paper DROS records into AFS.
^Since AFS is a historical database, CA DOJ intends to input all of their DROS records going back to 1924.

2014 is when DROS of long gun started to report the same info as DROS of handgun.

Has anyone identified any door that was actually knocked upon by the nice agents at DOJ?

Or is this turning into another thread describing a cat chasing its own tail?
          OK, I guess not.

Let the great "Tail Chase" continue.

Exactly brother. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
It was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help.

This thread reminds me of a Nuclear Bomb.

If you have critical mass and throw a few neutrons at it, the thing takes off on its own.

This thread took off because just three neutrons 1)un-named door was knocked on and 2) some kind of firearm 3) Was taken ......and its taken off with nothing more to fuel the discussion.

                      What the heck?

Is there going to be any REAL info on this like how do we know it was SSE1 and was it Vol or AW and did he get the letter of approval then got raided and did they ask for pics and they were submitted and what PC code was highlighted on the cue response report that they carry when doing these recoveries?

Sometimes I think a Calgun member is having a bad day and decides to cheer himself up by throwing a couple neutrons at this forum just for the fun of the silliness of seeing the responses.

LOL! With hands on hips and an angry glare, you ask me that? And just why would I tell you? Curious, are we? You work for DoJ?

Nothing was "Cleared Up" in Post #1.

All that Post #1 informs us is that some unknown individual e-mailed Librarian to report that "DOJ agents knocked on his door and they discussed an 80% build"

There's nothing in the post to indicate that the nice agents did anything improper.

There's nothing in the post to show specifically where this happened, if it actually happened.

This has all the preliminary indications of someone "stirring the pot" to get a reaction.

If someone sent you a PM from an anonymous source telling you that the "Sky was Falling", would that cause you take refuge under your desk, or would question the veracity of that PM?

Interesting. I was at the Porto's in Buena Park a couple of weeks ago, and a whole herd of CA DOJ agents were yukking it up at their lunch table. I've lived in CA all my life, and up until then had never seen a real live CA DOJ agent.

Then one say I see about 12 of them, all together, eating lunch.
