AB 1297 McCarty - remove cap on CCW license fees

I'm taking a wait and see approach.

From the Bee, Sacramento County was $250,000 over budget on 8,000 permits. Simple math says it will rise about $40 per permit to a little less than $120 for a 2 year renewal.

Add that to the other costs for renewal and you're looking at $300 every other year.

Of course for a $500 scooter it costs me almost $300 every two years for registration

Why do you CCW folks have to pay for additional enforcement and administration costs when your tax dollars already pay for the sheriff's department?

in sacramento county it comes down to one name and that name is Scott Jones. there is no transparency in sacramento county or accountability. if citizens complain then throw out a few more CCWs and everyone shuts up out of fear the fees will go up. rest my case.

Or they'll give a discount to low income people and jack up the price for "normal" applicants to subsidize them...

In the eyes of liberal Democraps, no "normal" citizen has a need for a CCW permit.
