I know there is a thread on "would you" commit acts of civil disobedience in protest of your gun rights, but I have a different question. If you get arrested for such acts will it impact your:

Rights to keep, buy future, or have firearms?

How about your CCW? Will it be revoked?

What are the impacts beyond probation and a fine of being locked up for civil disobedience? I mean its not like we are bowel like movements marching across the bay bridge getting a slap on the wrist by the SF DA? The book is likely to be tossed at pro gun advocates.

Yes, it will impact your "right" to buy arms legally in CA, but you can still buy and keep firearms - just don't tell the state what you're doing.

Should the state decide to confiscate AR-15s, I have no issue with that, I will simply disassemble it, and give them the lower. 80% are cheap and easy to replace.

Um, really? That's what you got out of that? Allow me to put it differently so that you can grasp what I said. No I would not give up my rifle. I would give up that small component that carries the traceable serial number, and replace it with a not so traceable lower. Got it?

If they confiscate ARs, no where of course. But you know, it's always good to keep it on hand, just in case people actually do get fed up enough to finally kick the tyrants out of office. Kind of like me having 20 & 30 round mags and a real mag release button. I can't use them now, but they are available, and within reach. For the time being, my 10 round magazine will do.

It's the Internet age. We'll know they are coming for them long before they get there. Especially since it will begin with "Bring your guns to us to turn them in". It would be impossible to show up at every door at the exact same time for mass confiscation.

Well see, that's the beauty of building your own. All they have on record is the lower receiver, nothing else. So if I turn in what they have on record, I've fulfilled my obligation.

Carping about those who are "unknowing criminals" is a bit naive', I think. FAR more than creating criminals, it allowed those who were completely aware of the law to do a little "disobedience".

This was turned into turning things in / not which applies but I was wondering more about protesting, sit ins, blocking ingress where appropriate to gain attention to the cause. I'd pay my fine and all but like I've noted we are not favored leftist bowel like movements that will get a slap on the wrist.
