Well, Newsom is laughing at all of you!
Newsom, "The little twerps don't have the balls to do anything about it. I bunch of crying whiners will go away after a while and the rest, we will persecute out of existence. After all their only recourse would be to revolt. That's a good one. Let's just give them better TV and be done with it. Losers, the bunch of them."Comment

The politicians, media and hence the culture are stacked against you in CA. Just look around you, when was the last time you saw critical thinking in America? Soon the laws will be passed, the wills of the many will revoke the Bill of Rights and put you in the exact situation our forefathers envisioned. The 2A will fall first, others Bils will collapse therafter. Then the industrial para-military complex will be pointed at the remaining dissidents. Any small acts of disobedience will be manipulated by the courts and media to make you look like the evil Conservative that has held back progress. You can stand tall in small numbers but you'll be smeared, made an example of in front of your family, fellow employees and close friends.
The numbers and consequences required at this point to reverse the trend would make the most ardent "black helicopter" guy lose his stomach. If the 2A is THAT important to you, and it is going forward, I highly suggest packing up and moving to an area where your beliefs coincide with your peers. It is there that if the final stand takes place the most effect will be a achieved.
I grew up in CA, used to hike, off-road and shoot guns in places that the Irvine Co has converted into micro-colonies. It's not even close to the same place I grew up, the people as well. Same weather, all else has changed.
Best wishes to all.Comment

Give me one ray of RATIONAL hope. Even if we get a pro gun president, the state is forever lost down the shiitehole of tyranny because gun owners have restricted themselves to litigating this in the courts and not pursue any peaceful public protest out of fear that it would be a waist of time and that authorities would use the opportunity to identify and target the most vocal agitators in the same way any dictatorship would.Last edited by lhecker51; 03-17-2016, 10:36 AM.sigpicNRA Life Member***I have not and will not ever comply****Comment

Since you quoted Newsom, could you please cite the source? I cannot find it.Well, Newsom is laughing at all of you!

The next phase in the gun grab is to make all the misdemeanor gun laws, felonies. The only reason they are misdemeanors presently was to get them passed in the legislature. This is the master stroke to target their mortal enemies and deal them the final blow that will transform a former law abiding citizen into a prohibited felon. Not only do they lose their guns, they lose the right to vote! That is a master death blow when you effectively establish a new class of criminal: The political criminal felon.sigpicNRA Life Member***I have not and will not ever comply****Comment

If no one is willing to fight, the time never came, and the tyrants have been allowed to do whatever they want.
One thing I will have to give to the Black Panthers back in the 60s, they actually stormed the capital building in Sacramento, and for that one brief moment, looked like patriots. But I don't see that happening now, nor do the politicians that are bringing us down one draconian law at a time. And doing it by yourself would just be looked at as another act compared to Tim McVey, Dorner, or any number of nut jobs, and more laws calling for more gun control would be introduced. Oh, and the media would be doing their happy dance because now they could hang their hat on the fact that a real conservative and NRA member tried to attack the capital building. Put another way, the American Revolution was initially fought by three percent of the colonists, and they gave up their lives, liberty, and fortunes, in pursuit of freedom. I doubt we can get a majority to vote them out of office, and I doubt we could get one percent to actually engage in an all out war with them, which wouldn't actually be with them. It would be with police who will be preprogrammed to believe we are the evil that must be destroyed, and not them.
So really, paint another picture that convinces me I'm wrong.

I agree with this, but in the long run there is no escaping it. The corrupt anti-2A and anti-Constitutional leadership here in CA will keep churning out new regulations and additions to the existing law and it will always end badly for us.
"High Capacity magazines" are "legal," but they will still confiscate them on "public nuisance," even actual pre-2000 Grandfathered ones (you cannot replace those, period).
Magazine "Kits" are deemed illegal, but the way the law was written is full of FUD and is making an absolute gray area grounds for prosecution (what constitutes a "kit?" A single magazine component?).
They are trying to ban 80 percents (De Leon's "Ghost Gun" legislative).
They are trying to enact another AWB and registration of all SB23 compliant firearms (bullet button AR's, featureless, etc).
The Long Gun registration act (now you need a FSC not an HSC to buy guns, not just handguns anymore).
The list goes on and on. Either way, they are taking our rights. The method they are doing if we do nothing is the boiling frog tactic. Unfortunately, the vast majority of us are too comfy to do anything and will keep giving up an inch, because we got bills to pay, families to look after, and lives to fulfill, and those become endangered if we stand up and fight, even as Public Disobedience. Those that want to keep their busy lives have moved away or plan to from this Commie hell-hole, and those of us that are still here will see the day where they will finally take everything away, and some will completely bend over, some might fight, I am not entirely sure.In Glock We Trust.

The exercise of debate in these forums is a sounding board for many to flesh out what action to take next and to determine if there will be popular support for that action and measured response. If no one is not willing to fight, the time never came, and the tyrants have been allowed to do whatever they want.

Any member that has ever posted a comment in these forums or any other should fully expect that their comments may in the future be attributed to your actual identity. It is when we fear posting thoughts and ideas that are considered dangerous, or indicate the type and number of certain possessions you own, that we are on the brink of effectively losing or having severely restricted, not only our 2nd amendment rights, but more importantly, our right to free speech. Once you lose the 2nd amendment right or have it severely restricted to the point it makes it ineffective, the right to free speech is next regarding a full on assault with all pretenses abandoned. This is the historical sequence of events for any government as it transforms into a dictatorship or blatant oligarchy.
I just checked my reality and have determined the status of what I perceive are the value of my rights is measured by my perception of what is left of them and what I reasonably expect to have left after the current tidal wave of legislative frontal assaults. That is a hard cold dose of reality and a shocking wake up.Last edited by lhecker51; 03-17-2016, 12:17 PM.sigpicNRA Life Member***I have not and will not ever comply****Comment

Sometimes the law defends plunder and participates in it. Sometimes the law places the whole apparatus of judges, police, prisons and gendarmes at the service of the plunderers, and treats the victim -- when he defends himself -- as a criminal. Bastiat
