Tell them you are a Democrat, that they are losing your vote and they will lose in a landslide this election cycle if continued violation of their oath of office ignored or abused.

You will no longer vote for someone who criminalizes you or a family member.

      Do it nicely and politely.
This is what every CA Democrat that supports gun rights in CA should have done years ago when the Dems first started proposing these bills every legislative session. But don't stop with just calling your representative, call the state Democrat party leaders and let them know that you will refuse to support, contribute to, or vote for any Democrat until such time as they drop their gun control agenda, and that you will vote Republican until they do. Make gun control a third rail issue in CA.

We don't have a gun problem;we have a *Demonrat* problem as Mr.Santiago so clearly demonstrates. This is the trash we elect.

I really like this idea, because most(all?) politicians are concerned ultimately about is getting re-elected. So let's hit them where it hurts.

They are all hot to trot now that it is clear that the courts are going to just stand by and lets states like California infringe on the 2nd to what ever level they want. We are screwed.

After this passes, what's the best attack plan to challenge this law. A plaintiff that wants to buy a shotgun for duck hunting and some type of bolt action rifle for deer hunting? All within a 30 day period...

The most important point here is that EVERYONE (not just democrats) should call their rep and claim they are democrat.

I don't recall 1-in-30 for handguns being challenged. I hate to say it, but I'm not convinced there's that wide an opening for a constitutional challenge because the duration of the delay is rather limited. It's annoying for us law-abiding, sure, but the proponents of this type of law have argued that it limits gun trafficking. To a liberal judge, that would be enough to show it furthers an important government interest.

But that's what I would have said about the 10 day wait, so, what the heck do I know?

Gavin Newsom is a lying, cheating slickster and will be is the worst mistake California has ever made if he gets now that he has been elected Governor. Hollywood movie producers look to him and his oleaginous persona as a model for the corrupt "bad guy" politician character. This guy is so greasy, he could lubricate an entire arsenal of AR-15s just by breathing on them.

we know that it was unconstitutional and now in limbo for the duration. doubtful it will ever see the light of day either.
