The Republicans scared off the center lost the popular vote in Cali and now don't understand why nobody likes them.
It's not really what I saw. I saw the left (during Pelosi's watch) change strategy to demonising the opposition instead of using arguments. To give Mr Clinton his due; before the Pelosi period they were not doing this... and Democrats were moving to the center...

The democrats picked up the drum the republicans were idiots, unreasonable, bigots, et cetera... and now you're saying republicans are hard to deal with because they're unreasonable, not in center, et cetera... as the democrats moved left and became harder to talk with since they assume republicans are bad people and such...

We haven't changed; the dem party line and media's treatment of us has. Now to disagree with democrats makes you a bad person, a racist, a bigot, et cetera. How they portray the NRA (aka gun lobby in their unreasonable portrayals) and gun owners is no different than how they deal with republicans in general... sorry; it's not mostly us.

How about we ostracize from our midst all the gun owners in this state who are not NRA members and who are voting for Democrats???!!! THEY ARE A HUGE PART OF THE PROBLEM!!!!

Has anyone heard whether or not the NRA plans to join in fighting these two latest bouts of insanity?

I'm thinking if there was a time for them to bring some serious weight into the fight in California, it would be for this.

Yep. I think they'll try but frankly, the legislators will likely pass this given past behavior (which is the best predictor of future behavior).

We'll then be forced to pin our hopes on Brown's veto and the courts. Neither of which is looking good any more.

I cannot think of a better reason to fight as if our lives depend on it.
Our lifestyles in fact do depend on defeating the 2 onerous bill and the referendum.

I'm wondering how this law would treat (edited Op-Sec)?

Why? California gun owners dont seem to care..my proof? 7 MILLION gun owners in the state and 500,000 NRA members!!!!

ANYONE READING THIS THREAD WHO IS NOT AN NRA MEMBER AND IS VOTING DEMOCRAT IS A MORON AND IS THE PROBLEM. I will not ignore these hypocrites any more. Until we ALL start to make it uncomfortable for these people.. they will continue to enjoy the rights we have defended for them and while in our midst, work against us the entire time.

IT IS TIME TO STAND UP JOIN THE NRA AND BE COUNTED or SIT THE "F" down, give up your guns and shut the "F" up!!

This is basically identical to SB374 now is it it not?
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Nobody will register jack, non-compliance will be massive, Irish democracy will prevail, and some days, just some days when I am particularly tired of it all... I swear I would want them to just try to confiscate so we can settle this once and for all.

I'll go out and buy a receiver and register it if this passes.

That will come after 2018, when all AWs bought between January 2001 and December 2016 are registered (they hope).

That is how New York did it if I recall correctly. So it is coming, but not for a couple of years at least..
