CA DOJ AG says 700,000 machine guns from ATF...but didn't bother understanding or looking at those held in private hands which is much much less than the 200,000 stun guns argued in Catano.

The Federal District Judge immergut in her ruling on the TRO for Oregon's Measure 114 made similar statements regarding machine guns and basically endorsed this view point that common use is dead etc.

Perhaps SCOTUS did not know the number of machine guns at the time of Heller as it was not part of the record. Given public misconceptions about the number, I could easily see SCOTUS toss the NFA using several rulings (numbers and illegal tax).

I'm sure it will not be on the same day. However, Judge Benitez will be keeping up with the submissions as they happen and will be forming his order as they come in.

I don't think it will be much longer after the last briefs are submitted.

I could see decision/orders published by July 3rd 2023.

Judge made it clear he sees no reason for further testimony or hearings . He is indicating this is the final step in all these cases . He said he has read and researched enough in all these cases , its time for both sides have final answers.
