30 days for the joint spreadsheet. 30 days for briefs after that. 10 more days for replies.
Briefing should be complete within 70 days.
State begged for more time, he said their experts have been researching gun control laws for decades. A list shouldn't take over 30 days.
ETA: so, sometime between March and May we should start getting wins.

I see this all as setting things up for permanent injunctions issued for all of these of these 2A cases over the next few months. Benitez will force the state to show all their cards by showing the list of relevant gun laws that they then cannot hide from or wiggle out of. There simply are no historical analogues. And he gave them plenty of time to find them.Comment

Correct , That's what this was today . The judge said he was tired and frankly does not have the time to keep reading the briefs in each case that basically say the same thing , stating you are all arguing the same points . He did not join the cases but said they have enough similarities that they all should be able to use the spreadsheet in there individual briefs . He acknowledged there are differences in each case and will allow a very small amount of nuanced arguments in each case but is limiting each brief to 25 pages total .It's basically scheduling and what evidence can be introduced in briefs.Last edited by Metal God; 12-12-2022, 1:43 PM.Tolerate

I'm sure it will not be on the same day. However, Judge Benitez will be keeping up with the submissions as they happen and will be forming his order as they come in.
I don't think it will be much longer after the last briefs are submitted.Comment
