Yup. I remember. The level of corruption was laid bare to the couple dozen or so people who bothered to read the opinion.

Both Berzon and Nguyen are very left-leaning, the 2-1 decision is guaranteed.

It is clear that the anti-gun liberals on the 9th circuit are ideologically committed to a view that courts must defer to the interests of the state as "guardians of the public good", but only as it pertains to the 2A. E.g., they would never make such a concession if the challenged law abolished the 4th and 5th amendment rights of recidivist felons, despite it being empirically proven that such laws improve public safety. And they see no constitutional or ethical conflict in treating different civil rights by completely different legal standards. This is why they are unfit to be judges.
I reckon the opinion will contain all of the above, like some sort of anti-gun greatest hits album.

I completely agree with your characterization of the naked shameless hypocrisy of progressive judicial activists.

If the courts won't do their job then it is up to us not to comply to these unconstitutional laws. "We will either hang individually or together" Ben Franklin.

The sad truth is those of us that did comply with the registration of their firearms have set themselves up to have their firearms confiscated. Has anyone ever questioned the Greasehead if his office knows how many of these so called assault weapons are actually in the state?

Apparently we've lost some of that rebellious spirit once held by conservatives....

"...Each had more to lose from revolution than he had to gain by it. John Hancock, one of the richest men in America, already had a price of 500 pounds on his head. He signed in enormous letters so that his Majesty could now read his name without glasses and could now double the reward. Ben Franklin wryly noted: Indeed we must all hang together, otherwise we shall most assuredly hang separately.

Fat Benjamin Harrison of Virginia told tiny Elbridge Gerry of Massachusetts: With me it will all be over in a minute, but you, you will be dancing on air an hour after I am gone.

These men knew what they risked. The penalty for treason was death by hanging. And remember, a great British fleet was already at anchor in New York Harbor.

They were sober men. There were no dreamy-eyed intellectuals or draft card burners here. They were far from hot-eyed fanatics yammering for an explosion. They simply asked for the status quo. It was change they resisted. It was equality with the mother country they desired. It was taxation with representation they sought. They were all conservatives, yet they rebelled."

Rush Limbaugh, America's Anchorman and Doctor of Democracy, is known as the pioneer of AM radio. Limbaugh revolutionized the media and political landscape with his unprecedented combination o f serious discussion of political, cultural and social issues along with satirical and biting humor.

I do not doubt there are men today who would risk much (or all) in defense of our Constitution and the nation it created. Not politicians, crooks or those who actively subvert COTUS for their own personal gains...

The people of this nation have lost a lot more than just the rebellious spirit held by the Founding Fathers.

The great men who wrote our founding document would rage and despair at the collectivism, entitlement, laziness, narcissism, and perversion prevalent in the 21st-century United States of America.

It wasn't just the Founding Fathers. Ever wonder why after Lexington and Concord, there really wasn't any more fighting in New England?

The whole Paul Revere midnight ride (he was actually captured, but the poem was better able to rhyme hear with Revere, so he got the credit) was because the British were going to do what? Confiscate firearms! So they sent 1000 troops to Lexington and then Concord to try to get the arms, gunpowder, and any shot they could find. There was a mild skirmish at Lexington. There was a bigger battle at Concord. The Minutemen were there, because they could be assembled quickly. They were the equivalent of Special Forces back then. But here's the rest of the story...

On the way back to Boston, the rest of the people... the farmers, merchants, etc. started to come out. These were the regular troops, so to speak. And they lay siege to the British troops the entire way. By the time they got back to Lexington, they were in complete disarray, and it was only the fact that another column of British troops met them there that they were able to continue. And by the time they got close to Boston, there were close to 20,000 Revolutionary troops laying a gauntlet of fire at them from all sides. And when they got to Boston (which was a small peninsula at that point, they lay siege with a cannon from Ft. Ticonderoga in upstate NY. The British parlayed to allow them to sail out with them agreeing to leave New England alone and not return. And THAT'S why the war effectively ended once it started for New England. And now you know the rest of the story.

To apply that to modern times, anyone remember Christopher Dorner? He was an ex-cop who went on a rampage in 2013. He killed several police officers and holed up in Big Bear. The police threw everything they had to find him. While they eventually got him, he terrorized everyone (but mostly the police), and showed what one determined individual could do to create havoc. Now imagine two Chis Dorners. Three. Ten. THAT'S the power individuals have. Which is why politicians hate guns so much. If a politician wants to take away your gun, it's because they plan on doing something that will make you want to kill them!!

I remember this. Mainstream media buried the story fast and deep, unlike how vulture journalists milk every mass shooting for weeks.

                        Yep.
There is nowhere else to go but here. I suspect that at some point it will need to start over. Seems we are getting closer.

The fact the motions panel said there will be no delays, and the merits panel immediately delayed it for 2 months with no fallout says enough about the court system.

With two incredibly left-wing judges on the panel and zero effective constitutionalist oversight from the Ninth Circuit, I expect further evil machinations and sinister maneuvers.

I think we had an expedited hearing in Oregon but plaintiffs asked for a venue in California, hence the delay
