What is this "self determination" thing you are talking about? Russians have already determined their nationality and even established a country called Russian Federation. Consider yourself Russian and don't like living in Ukraine -> move to Russia, case closed. Russian Crimean population have no right to decide who owns the land they currently live on, because it belongs to all citizens of Ukraine.
