Never Sell or give away your Weapons & Supplies!

    Just look at Ukraine!

Massive 100yr supply of weapons and gear. Then in the 90's and 2000's greedily sold it off on the open market.

Now comes war and they have to go begging for food and weapons to fight back with!

Ukraine once had a stockpile so large it was estimated to last 100yrs of war.

Now they are begging for food and supplies as Russia readys to squash them.

I have sold off more firearms than I care to think about over the years. They were sold during "tough times" in my younger years thinking I could always replace them later.

I will never make that mistake again

The biggest mistake Ukraine made, was giving up their nukes, in exchange for security guarantees from NATO and the USA.

^^ I agree 100%. Did the same thing with a few guns and I kick myself in the *** for it still.

Sold all my guns too. When things really heated up 2 years ago I sold everything I had. Amazing that someone would pay $1500 for a colt sporter, but hey, if they want one bad enough why not?

Actually the 1994 Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances states the following:

1.Respect Ukrainian independence and sovereignty within its existing borders.
                          2. Refrain from the threat or use of force against Ukraine.
                          3. Refrain from using economic pressure on Ukraine in order to influence its politics.
                          4. Seek United Nations Security Council action if nuclear weapons are used against Ukraine.
                          5. Refrain from the use of nuclear arms against Ukraine.
                          6. Consult with one another if questions arise regarding these commitments.[7]

The US or other signatories have not breaches these requirements other than Russia in clauses 1 especially and also 2.

I see no breach of these requirements by the US.

But I'll bottom lie this from my propective> However unfortunate for Ukraine, the vast majority of Krimiens would rather be Russian. case closed. Self determination dictates that Krimea wants to return so be it.

the US had no strategic play here. Let this lie and wait for Putin to blunder elsewhere. If he makes the error of invading Ukraine proper, the game will have qauntumly changed against Putin. But I doubt he will take the bait.

At this point in chess, a pawn has been lost. No need to send to rook.

Never sold a single firearm. Kept my first .22 and taught my wife to shoot it and when I have kids, they will learn to shoot with it
