Let me give you crazy town. I always pick up change on the ground, even pennies. I also collect bottles and cans, never could pass up freeeee $$$$. I change trash liners 3 days a week for an hour ea. day.

I save my recycles and take em in once a month. The cash goes in a soda bottle. At the end of the year I count it.

2012 = 420
2013 = 603
2014 = 397

In January I buy Gold with it, so in just 3 years I was able to purchase over an ounce of GOLD. More gold than the average human owns on this rock.

Now that's crazy

Being a maintenance man has it's perks. Finding everything under the sun in all sorts of places on commercial properties. Never a night goes by that I don't find cash and tonight was no exception. Quarter time !

You name it, we find it. A homeless guy once found a diamond ring valued at $10k...geez nice score buddy. I've found $20's wrapped, a silver coin bag, smoke packs, cameras, phones, tablets, Bibles, 6 packs you name it.

This isn't OT because we scored some SILVER tonight with other goodies. Women's earrings/bracelets are very common to find and I leave them on my buddy's truck door knob if they have no value. Next week he will get a nice purse and a bracelet when he rolls out in the morning Monday. The dog one is pretty nice, $10 I figure new, so I will find a young lady for that.

The rings are Sterling Silver stamped with 1.5 carat CZ center pieces and about another 2 Ct in cut crap. Decent looking costume or decoy bait for that women who thinks you're ugly.

At this moment both metals are Gold $1,182.00 $1,184.00 and Silver $16.70 $16.80 there up but thats still down for me I buy both on a regular bases I always check APMEX web site.

The Bribe Factor

I went with an Eagle as I assume it will be most recognizable to the masses if I had to use it for a bribe.

I like the Eagles, mostly because you can ping test them easily by holding on the tip of your finger and hitting with a pencil. Unique sound and beautiful to boot. Measure, weigh and ping and you should insure yourself against fakes. They are US legal tender also and with only 22 million ounces ever minted of Eagles and Buffalo's, I doubt they would get much attention from the Feds. You are in fact supporting this nation by your purchase.

But now that you are hooked with an extraordinary piece of survival equipment. Don't give anyone a full ounce unless you're getting a car or house (Rip's condo).

Buy yourself some fractional with punch. 1/4 oz & 1/2 oz. You may have lost your weapon before a check point and some dufus you size up at the check point clearly has a weapon but not the IQ of a lab rat. Slip the 1/4 oz. off you neck chain and offer up. The chain if 14k and roughly 25grams is 1/3rd oz. melt, save it for a gun or ammo. The extra 1/4 and 1/2 oz you have safely tucked away where no one is going to look.

LOL. About 30 years ago, I took an adult ed class to learn how to make jewelry. I made an engagement/wedding set for my then-fiancee and now wife.

There was an older guy in the class who was always making flashy-looking rings to give to his lady friends. He called them, 'motel rings'.
