I believe in Inverse Murphy's Law. Anything you do to take precautions will be wasted effort, because WTF you took pre-cautions against wont happen. So my Prepping is more akin to some primitive religious offering to The Fates or WTF.

IDK how it for the young folks but as an oldster I find prepping type things are great mental exercise and the physical part of it is a reminder to not let that ego write checks the body is no longer able to cash.

Or, as Clint Eastwood enshrined as a 'saying' in one of the Dirty Harry movies 'A man has got to know his limitations'
