I had an EU2000 in CA for about a decade. All I ever did was run it out of fuel and drain the bowl. Sold it to a Burning Man idiot for $100 less than I paid for it ten years prior.

A couple of months after I moved to Florida, with Hurricane Ian was on the way, I bought an EU2200. Even with the "fuel off" thing, I still just do the same thing...run it until it's out of fuel and drain the bowl.

...used a twist tie from a bread bag, just strip the plastic off the wire....

I must ask, where were your knives? (pocket folder or camp kitchen or KA-BAR belt knife)

I'm just bustin' yer chops, but, really, where were the sharp objects other than a "twist tie from a bread bag".

And, not to put too fine a point on this (hee), was that a plastic tab breadbag closure?

You need to run a wire through the holes, one of which is down the center of the jet. You can?t internally clean the holes with a knife.
