        I've never hunted bears, just hogs. Where does OP shoot it? I just found this, is it accurate? Bear hunters, chime in.

          You are not going to war and do not need large amounts of lead. Just one well placed shot in a decent large enough caliber. Google "bear shot placement" to know where to shoot them.

          .308, 45/70 or slug from a shotgun will do the job.
