    Public land. Gila.

We had a 370-380 bull, but it snapped is right side off, right at it's G3. Where was the bull that did that? So we passed and we could never get a shot at another 360 plus bull yesterday. Then I found this guy, hiding at 380 yards! Shot him bedded down

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

    Oregon Deer

Been awhile since I've posted here.

Little bro and I drew some 'no points' Oregon tags this year. Had a good hunt

First year deer hunting. Only had time to hunt close to home. Went out this morning and hiked to a peak above a saddle at about 4500 feet. Parked myself behind/next to a tree and waited. After about an hour a buck made its way down my side of the saddle. He was only 80 yards or so out.

Had a broadside shot but was too excited and he moved before I could calm down. Lost him and thought he was gone. Moved from my sitting to standing spot and glassed the area. Finally found him behind some trees staring at me. We had a staring comets for a bit so I slowly reached for my rifle.

Had him in a head on shot that I shouldn't have taken. But I did. When I shot, the scope bit me.

    Here's the result.

Took two trips because I was inexperienced. 7 miles total on the hike today.

At the mouth of the Napa, right below HWY 37 in February of this year. Brown Sugar soaked Salmon Egg balls. About 37 pounds. Tasted great dipped in Beure Blanc. Also caught on the same trip was one about 75lbs.

Dano3467, I carried him out in two pieces. Weighed when I got home, front was 51 pounds, rear was 50 pounds. That's just hanging carcass weight, not sure what his live weight would have been.
