    First pig

About 200 lbs. First large game ever taken.

A big Thank You to everyone that has posted information about hunting pigs. I had so much fun applying what I learned about tracking on this site.

How did you get your pig? By rifle or bow? Or run up and slit its throat. Sorry, I could resist. Just joking!!! But the picture does look a little odd with 3 guys standing around drinking, no gun, rifle, or bow in casual pants.
All seriousness aside, Rifle or bow?
        Congrats!

Hahaha. Not really sure. My buddy who doesn't hunt was the first one to it on the side of what was essentially a cliff. I told him to bleed it and that's what I got. He might of wanted to make sure it was really dead. Not gonna complain since it is his land. I took it with a sporterized 03a3 30-06 through the spine.
The coffee was extra good that morning after the cliff and poison oak. Those who said the work starts after the kill were not joking.

Shot this guy yesterday at Lake Elsinore. Shooting was slow, but this guy was worth a picture. Never seen a carp this Lightly Colored.
I'm making a funny face due to the timing of the picture. Fish was flopping around slinging carp juice all over haha.... eeew

I'll bet it didnt bleed much anyways from slitting the throat. Heart needs to be pumping to "Bleed it"

yeah i bet the amount that came out was not that much at all compared to what is all stored in the muscles. You live and you learn though thats what makes hunting so fun.

I 2nd the notion that there is no need to bleed it but congrats on the hog!

Nice! Wish we had better opportunities here for bowfishing. Pretty much just carp.
