This. Best to know the history and personalities of the people you team with, and know how they conduct themselves under high stress.

          San Francisco, 94121.

Not a huge amount of credentials to go with it, but spent a couple of years in Her Majesty's Armed Forces (reserves), looking at joining up for reserves over here too. Decent with electronics and general tinkering.

im not saying that i am opening my house ans resources up to anyone with a CalGun sticker on their truck. Its more like finding locals in my area and meet up to see if we can maybe tolerate each other. As that grows into a frindship (on the premise of the MAG) then we decide wether or not toincorporate each other into our plans.

I agree with the premise of what you are talking about. Yes, I've met you before as we both live in the same city and very near to one another. We met in the parking lot of the Big K store to exchange $ for cans. At the time it was definitely nice meeting you and it was good to learn a bit about you in that you did not seem to be the type of person to automatically judge others who may not look exactly like you (if you recall what I mean). All in all, you can always reach me on this site even if it takes a day or two to reply, but in meeting you, it was cool to know that a fellow CGer was nearby.

Seriously? The closest big city near me would be Madison or Milwaukee, and its still 2 hours away or more. Theres a hell of a lot of woods, swamps, and distance between us and them. Other than that, the largest city to us is Lacrosse, and while it has a college, it is still a rural farming town.

                    Edited to Add. . .

Looks like the Stormfeather Family Retreat is now moving. In case of emergency, looks like I will be heading to Missouri!

too bad there are no Southern Ca groups.
The Honeyville store in Ontario, CA is prepper mother lode of supplies and know how. It is Mormon. Great place, great people and great product (good prices). If you need dried or bulk goods that is the place. I go there regularly and the offer inexpensive classes on food prep.
