Cold Steel knives (at least the blades) come from Asia. Some are definitely Chinese, some Japanese and IIRC some are also Taiwanese.

IMO they definitely make good knives for the money, especially in terms of durability. I'm fortunate enough to live near their headquarters so at least once a year a few of us head out to one of their parking lot sales to pick up some good blades at discount.

Very cool. I never liked most ZT's, but they are quality knives and many love them.

Just got a Kershaw Kuro assisted open. It was a gift for my cousin who's in the navy and wanted a cheap EDC. It was 19.97 at good ol walmart.

By the way I actually like the Kershaw assisted more than my benchmade autos. Go figure.

The Griptilians are nice. I had problems with blade centering on every single one I owned though. I'm not a fan of the MAP pricing Benchmade does now either, but it is what it is.

Got this Buck for me and the daughter. She acted disinterested when I was showing her to flip it open, then today ran out of her room and was like "LOOK, I can do it!", now I hear the blade clicking open like 50 times.

Just ordered a RAT II folder with OD handles. I think my next knife is going to be a Tops Knives Mountain Lion.
