Found the last gerber gator premium fixed blade in existence.

Those look nice. There is always EBAY. Not sure what is going on with GEC lately but they are impossible to get now. I think people buy anything they can get and resell them. Lame. But cool that good traditionals are popular.

Probably picking up a Mineral Mountain hatchet Works... it is the 20% off sale month in September "20off" code. To get a Small Pig Trail bowie for $140 or a small upswept blade for $120, in full tang 5160 is a good deal IMHO. These are bomb proof parkerized blades with a sheath. Other good models are the Bull Noser and Brush Puppy.

I just grabbed the Bugout 535-3 version, without the custom blade engraving.

It's starting to loosen up and smooth out nicely...



I found it locally with a nice price match discount...

I’ve got the large upswept and it’s a beast of a blade. I got mine before they changed the name of it. When I purchased mine it caused a major issue with PayPal because of the name. Somehow they thought I was sending money to terrorists.

Right, that's the one I had. Now trying to decide between a Brush Puppy or the "small" Pig Trail. A "small" is a 8" probably 3" wide blade. That's a nice blade. The knife naming police would hate my Swamp Rat TALI (ban) Whacker collection.

As light as it is, it is hard to see the need for a mini bugout version or a mini grip for that matter.

These look pretty handy for $66 with kydex and clip. For a 4.1" blade like that if it needed kydex, at least $40.

$1500 ? That clip sucks on a $1500 knife. How can there be a $1500 Benchmade? But there it is. I'd buy a Colt Python instead.
