I just picked up a couple of these... I really like the feel and balance with a made in USA product using a proven steel (420HC stainless) . I have always been a Buck fan ever since Boy Scouts.

Did it come with that sheath with the fire kit holder as well? Pretty cool design. I have a Schrade Frontier that came with its own fire starter, but not as cleanly designed.

Yes it was included. I like the sheath almost as much as the knife. Nice clean functional work.

Oh, I know all about California, thanks! Got <2" blades if I ever EDC, although I think that length is more of a liability then an asset.
