Also 80% arms Has a jig That used a Router and Is Very Simple. There About 30 Days backorder. Here's the jig but it Only works with their Lowers.

Funny thing is I got my own mill in anticipation of wanting to do some 80s. However, I have had more fun just learning machining! Unique skill set that can be applied to many things.

What kind of mill did you get? I've been looking at Bridgeports but would like some thing smaller and more home garage friendly

I have an X3 (G0463) mill converted to CNC (Servos driven by Gecko G320Xs and LinuxCNC). I love that thing. Ive finished a few 0% lowers and a few 80% DPMS .308 lowers. Less than an hour for 80%... but still 16+ hours for the 0% due to the multiple setups and *** dragging. I bought that from Grizzly for like $1300, and spent an additional $1000-$1200 pimping it out with ball screws, servos (ebay) and servo drives over the course of a year.

That's a grizzly? Looks pretty good. How much was the conversion?

It was around $1000-$1200.
It wasnt a kit though.
You can get a kit for about that price (maybe less) and use stepper motors (cncfusion). I specifically wanted servos, so I had to do it myself.

IMHO....Maybe, just maybe, the OP should have done SOME homework before posting a question.

Think about this....there are already hundreds of threads out there with ALL the info that is current regarding everything for 80% builds.
Maybe...just maybe people should get off their asses and do SOMETHING on their own.

But I guess you think that everyone should have their hand held, be given hugs, and cookies and milk.
Do you also believe the .gov should provide jobs and health insurance for us too?
I guess a you want a liberal utopia where nobody does anything for themselves....

While my comments were directed toward those that accused the poster of such things as :

The amount of time wasted in making those type of comments you guys could of posted a few key links to some information and welcome them to CalGuns.


IN FACT:

Toddh spent so much time bashing me he could of used that time to post a few links to help someone out.


Everyone is not computer wise and if giving someone a bit of information to point them in the right direction is beside the nice thing to do a god way to build up the community and maybe make a new friend.

For me it's not the desire to help that I've lost it that I'm tire of taking people by the hand to lead them to the google search, the stickies, the hundreds of pages posts and threads that contain all the info you would ever need.

Now while you two have been pissing in the wind did you care to notice eagle eyes that the guy as to date a whopping total of two posts. That right there is a red flag for me. We've had others that have come back to defend their actions this guy drops off like the cops showed up.

Just think about that for a minute.
And btw I didn't see you post much usefull info either??
