80% lower need help

hey guys need some help i searched and cant find anything.
so i have a AR 80% lower that i want to make into pistol.
but when you buy a AR pistol its sold as a single shot. so you have some proof that it was a single shot. when you make one how do you prove that it was a single shot that you converted ?

Even if you don't take pictures or video. The burden of proof is on the prosecution. So just as you would not have any tangable proof that you did single shot it. The police would also have no proof that you did not. It works both ways!

You don't need proof. Prosecution needs proof that you built it without a single shot sled.

If you buy an AR pistol, make it single shot, then switch out pieces to make it semi auto, and sell off all of the pieces to make it single shot... You're not committing a crime.

I haven't heard of any prosecutors going after anyone for this. That said with mine I just took a junk 10 round mag that falls apart when used anyway, and jammed it full of crap so I couldn't load any rounds in it. I locked it in and finished the last step of assembly. Seemed to qualify to me.

save yourself the trouble and buy one from the store. a few hundred dollars is not worth the hassles you might get if you run into cops.

Totally wrong.

If a cop is going to hassle you over an AR pistol, they will do it regardless of it's origin.

You can save hundreds by building so if you want to do that, go for it.

As for documentation, don't do it.

Absolutely comply with the law and build it initially as a dimensionally compliant single shot handgun to use the single shot exemption and make sure you comply with the "assault weapon" ban as well.

If the police ask you about it, referr them to your lawyer or else tell them the truth about how you legally home built it and have complied with all state and federal laws.

Remember as a handgun it needs to be transported in a locked case and if the police want to search it, politely decline.
