AK Feeding Problem

and this.....you can tell someone was grinding down the mag release...you can tell by the dimple notched out of the trigger guard. They prolly did this to get the mag to fit.
What they shouldve done was ground down that selector plate. I think this might fix your problem but then since the mag release is ground down you would need a new trigger guarg or change out the mag release with a new one... circled in green is where the material shouldve been removed circled in red is where I think they removed material to get the mag to fit.

However no replacement parts will be necessary. I fixed one like this for gt-three last month. Just file the offending portion of the selector stop untill you achieve proper mag height. Then get the ol' MIG welder out and build the mag catch back up a little. clean it up with a dremel/file and you're good to go.

I think if you steal a couple of 69mach1's hairs from his head while he is sleeping, grind them up into a dust and sprinkle it on your AK it will fix the problem.

I told OP that removing the green section might work (marked with a sharpie for him )
but that would void the warranty. IMHO, instead of trying to fix the feeding issue and all the BS rivets, he should get his money back or exchange for a working/safe rifle.

And yes center support looks bent on his gun too.

I agree with you hoozaru. Buying a rifle and having to work on it is crazy. I wouldn't even care if I had to pay a huge restocking fee or something just to get rid of a headache like that. Live and learn. I've had some pretty expensive lessons myself so I know how it feels.

My advice, chop that thing up, buy a NDS1 and build yourself a decent rifle.

First try and get your money back. If you can't, then come on over and we'll fix it. It would cost you nothing but gas money to drive to my house, and probably take about 30 minutes.

well guys thank for all your help i couldnt do this without you ! ( you know the suggestions and what not ) on that note i guess ill be on this site more often just full of awesomeness if thats even a word ill spread the word of this site ! more people should know about it !
