Press it out the same way as an AK barrel.

Pressing it back IN is another matter. The barrel is long & thin so it will be easy to bend it if you press it from the muzzle.

So, not wanting to strip the barrel since it can be a major PITA, I purchased a 2 inch ID x 20 inch long heavy wall pipe from Osh. I'm going to slot it so it can slip around the front sight, bayo lug, and gas block. I will be leaving about a 2 inch section of pipe unslotted & will press it from this end (the muzzle end). The muzzle will be about 2 inches below the top of the pipe so I will be pressing on the pipe rather than the muzzle of the barrel.

About 3/4 of the way down the barrel I will be attaching a pair of aluminum block with a hole in the center that will just fit around the barrel above the point where the barrel starts to increase in diameter. The block halves will be held together with two 5/8 inch bolts. The other end of the pipe will push against the blocks when I press it from the top.

I'll post some pics of it when I'm ready to do it in a day or two.

Pipe too small in diameter . It lands on top of the handguard retainer. I reckon I'll have to go with a three inch or bigger.
