    PSL kits

So has anybody checked out the PSL kits from TGI? I'm wondering what your choices would be as far as receivers to use for these.

I dont know about the fit or quality but the only place that has them is cold steel solutions. They even come with the stiffening plates. This is the route I am gonna yse when i go to build mine.

Don't forget to order the lower rails, they are not included and it sucks having to wait another two months for Cold Steel to send them.

TGI is having a special for AKforums members. Get the $300 kit because the barrel pin has not been removed. They also offer either the Nodak US receiver or the original Romanian receiver to the buyers for a discount. They will ship receivers to CA. Both are 100 percent complete and will need to go through to a CA FFL.

I went for the A+ with the threaded barrel upgrade and the intact bayonet lug.

Want to build one of these on the NoDak receiver

How hard are these to build? Riveted just like an AK?

Pretty much. Just got to watch out when pressing in that long, thin barrel.

I have one and it looks identical to me. I think that if you can build an AK, you can build a PSL.

Well after Tad sent me a PM about it I just had to get one. Went for the #1 condition with $15 upgrade for non pinned MD and Romanian receiver.

The price is right. It would be about $400 out the door for a build. There's also the pride in knowing you built it. So yes. If you can find an SVD parts kit, prepare to pay out the *** for it. Then you have to buy a Tiger for the receiver.

I'm thinking two halves of a pipe of the same dia. as the barrel clamped onto the barrel would help to prevent too much flex during the press in. Clamped on from the gas block to the front sight or the bayo lug band.
