First time AK Owner Fun

Not sure if this belongs here or not, but tonight/early morning I decided I wanted to learn how to fully disassembly my newly purchased Draco Pistol from zmefly's GB. So I started off by removing the handguards both top and bottom. The top was a pain as this Pistol is new and unfired by me. So long story short I got those buggers off then I decided to get into what I thought was more complex taking down of the weapon. So I opted to remove the FCG on the AK, I gotta say taking it off is easy, trying to put it all back together is a bit tricky.

So earlier tonight I asked if 922r was for Pistols and the answer was no, so I decided since I have a Romanian AKM Trigger and Hammer as well that I would use those, and use my un-used Tapco parts for a Yugo that is being build for me.

So all in all I kind of got the bug, I have a AKM Muzzle Brake that I am going to install once I get the tack weld off the original piece

I think I have a case of the AK Fever, I currently have a Romanian AKM on DROS so I am patiently waiting the arrival of the 12th of this month to come I cannot wait to test out my Draco this coming Saturday at the Zombie Shoot

Also looking for recipes and or suggestions on how to finish up the hand guards since they came unfinished. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to sand/prep stain, stain mixes to use would be cool. Thanks,

Both mags have been blocked and sealed to only accept 10 rounds. Which sucks because I have a few pre-bans I would love to use in CA. Oh well that is what AZ, NV, NM is for

I will post pics later, comp does not want to let the camera hook up for uploading right now. Is there supposed to be a good little gap between the barrel nut / flash hider from the gas block /front sight post? Or am I suppose to use a washer now that I took off the original tack welded piece that came with it?
