That's a Brazo's slide.
I don't like shooting .40s myself but many 2011s have been made in that caliber to make major power factor. The Brazo's slide, even with those lightening cuts, still feels pretty hefty to me and very little difference from my other government slide. The Limited-10 steel frame is also a nice hefty chunk of steel so it should tame the sharp .40 recoil quite a bit. All else fails, add a tungsten guide rod or tungsten sleeved barrel...

I've owned 6 or 7 STI pistols and since I have the 9mm mags, I shoot 9mm.
The one thing I noticed about the L-10 frames is just how thick the dustcover is. I mean it's really thick. I don't have another long wide frame to compare it to as far as weight is concerned but it has to be heavier than a standard long wide STI.Anyone press will hear the fat lady sing.

Carryover dimensions from beefing up the aluminum frames. We left it that way once we noticed some slides don't have their rails cut centered, off by up to .010 in prominent manufacturers. something many people don't check for.I've owned 6 or 7 STI pistols and since I have the 9mm mags, I shoot 9mm.

OP, sounds like we've got identical builds going on, I've got my Bar-sto barrel in hand, just working on my commander build in 9mm first... Still debating if I want to use my aluminum or steel L-10 frame first...
Did you use the rail cutter from Matrix? What sized shim did you use to raise the frame in the jig car? 0.003, 0.005, or both together?NRA Member, CAPRC MemberComment
