I've called around and every 1 seems to want $180 for duracoat for a stripper upper, lower and handguard and $250 for cerakote. That's a bit high. I found some one else for $120 for duracoat. But I really want cerakoat.

Post up how it works out. I get all kinds of great deals there. Guy has great feedback. I'd check it out but I have no need right now. Plus I want to setup to do it myself just need to save some cash. Why? Because I can....

There's a big difference in quality for the price of 180/250. Dura coat is basically automotive paint, and has less steps then cerakote, that's y it cost more. Be cheap and get the alumihyde or buy creak ore and do it yourself

It's another way of saying someone with skills and experience, tools, and time, willing to subsidize their hobby.
A slightly different version of "all you have to do is..." and "I want..."

How about you go buy all the equipment needed to properly do cerakote and than come back and tell me how much you would charge when time, material cost, equipment and space all add up.
