BTW. I am the match Director for the 2012 Texas Single Stack Championships (I won the 2010 and 2011 TXSSC but can't compete and be the MD).

Competition is the great equalizer. All the tough guy talk and BS and lies and semantical argument crap goes away when the timer goes beep.

You can either frickin' shoot or you can't.

Single Stack takes most of the whining and crying about gamer guns out except for the hardcore whiners and criers.

Anyone what to join us on the 9th of December for 7 stages and 150 rnds of shootin'?

Um I posted on the internet no different then them, unless they actually called you or e-mailed you. Then kudos to them indeed! If it was youtube comments they made then oh well, I am not a youtuber and wasn't aware that directly commenting on the video on youtube is the way real men do eeet (sorta).

Never watched a Nutnfancy video in its entirety, only skip to the shooting part. After all it is the internet.

I don't know if you watched any of ZT's videos but 37 seconds into your video my thought was "oh great another one of these guys (ZombieTactics)", hence my response. Hmm, wait were you parodying him... crap, I guess I'm slow to get it. I missed the "This was a troll video taking a direct poke at overly tactical..." part and thought you were just another ZombieTactics (of the competition world) using semantics and "logic" to prove to the world you are right because you can't be wrong... because you can quote science, articles and string long words together in tempo... Thus I swept you under the rug, and as you pointed out without knowing your real intentions because I assumed you were another ZT.

So I guess I got Trololololold GG NO RE!


Anywho... My stance is this. My eyes pretty much glaze over when I see "tactical vs practical", just another conversation I would like sweep under the rug. What is tactical, what is practical... what the F is the point? If competition is your thing then cool, talk about what you like about it and the take aways. If tactical classes is your thing then cool, talk about what you like about it and the take aways. If you do both, awesome, talk about what draws you to each. I'd be part of that conversation any day.

But let us be clear about a couple of things here:
DeadEyeSteve posts up a video on YouTube which admittedly is designed to troll, incite and provoke.
The Virus posts that video here ... to troll, incite and provoke.

Despite this, the thread continues on in a mostly cordial manner and ends on 11-25-2012.

Almost 2 months later ... DeadEyeSteve necro-posts the whole thing ... so as to troll, incite and provoke.

I don't think it's wrong to conclude that the actual intent all along has been to simply troll, incite and provoke.

As charming as that all is, DeadEyeSteve comes charging in with his first post (like the cowboy he imagines himself to be) accusing others of BS, lies and "tough guy talk" (Let's pause to let the irony of that sink in for a moment) Having never said an unkind word to the man, he accuses me of "cowardice" and "dishonesty" simply because I didn't respond to some question he asked in the comments section of his video. Looking into this, it appears that he asked the question 2 weeks after I posted mine to his video. News Flash: I get something like 200-300 messages a day on YouTube. If you get lost in the shuffle, it doesn't mean I'm a liar or a coward.

But there he goes again ... trolling, inciting and provoking.

Gryff - an IDPA competitor himself - has the utter temerity to ask a question or so - without stooping to insult, derision or name-calling - and is similarly branded (by the self-important tough guy) as a coward. Later he's labeled being somehow unmanly because he didn't extend an invitation to the unhinged-sounding braggart who can't wait to troll, incite and provoke.

Doesn't sound like the approach of anyone interested in having a genuine discussion about anything ... just a guy full of himself and picking a fight where none is required. Pardon me for seeing the schoolyard bully for what and who he is.

(I'm aware that this will be twisted, deconstructed and redefined in whatever ways are most suitable to the cause of glorious trolling, provoking and inciting in the name of self-congratulatory chest puffing. I am actually amused by the amazing creativity shown in this respect, and therefore somewhat look forward to the good laugh. Nonetheless, I am convinced that the "right people" get it.)
