I had FUN with the UZI at full auto as well as the M16!

That was before the great ammo shortage though...

I think it was early December last year. Very wet and cold the last day.

I am scheduled for the 4 day defensive pistol class on May 31. Never been there before. I will be staying at the Best Western. Is there anything in town to do during the day?? My wife might want to come with me and just stay at the hotel. Since we are arriving in one car it seems like it might be a pain for her to drop me off and pick me up everyday in order to have the car. Anything for her to do in town close to hotel???

There are a few things but depends on interest. That time of year things will be quite warm. It would not be that big of deal for her to run over to death valley or Las Vegas. I would think with a little networking, you could find a ride back and forth to FS so she wouldn't have to drop you off and pick you up each day.

One alternative is stay and Silverton Casino (http://www.silvertoncasino.com/). It is a bit further of a commute but if you can find someone to carpool with, your wife will have a lot better options for spending her day. -just an idea.

On my way to FS now, just got a email from them, they are out of 9mm, so if you don't have it, bring a 40 or 45!

We did the 4 day handgun course a few weeks back. Actually took the class the same weekend the M&P blew up. That was interesting.

Had a lot more fun this time since we had fewer people in our class. Two of us had to use the armorer which was a painless procedure. I ended up renting a new holster halfway through the class since I didn't like the angle on mine, and that was painless as well.

I can say I absolutely hate spending 4 full days out there. We usually stay in South Vegas, which is nicer since we can actually go into town for a good meal and to blow off some frustration. It takes us 45 minutes each way which isn't terrible with a bunch of good people in the car.

They really should have two entrance lines on the first day. One for returning students, one for first timers. Waiting in line every time we get there on Friday AM is lame-o.

Picked up my dropped rounds all weekend, and even some brass, and didn't have a single siren wail, nor a ninja come down from a helicopter wearing an Iggy Pizza mustache slapping me on a wrist after watching me on the cameras.

Thats a bit of a drive. My wife likes the best Western in Parump. We used to stay at the saddle west to save a few bucks but a few years ago we had a noisy and busy hooker in the next room, now my wife won't go back. Since we go to front sight a lot, the bw gives us free room upgrades.
