If you can get them for 100, I'd suggest buying a bunch if them at that price
There's a guy that's created a bunch of educational items and website about Front Sight, and signing up lets him email you updates, as well as rather regular offers for $99 Diamonds, which apparently doesn't violate Front Sight's 'no electronic advertising' since the people are signing up for something else and then receive the offer, or something along those lines. So yes, Diamonds are about $99, and there's a flood of other memberships on the market after the ambassador upgrade offers and deals last year.

Personally, I've been giving them to family members and donating them to local charities as fundraiser items.

I posted the following comment to the "Learning to Kill" article:

"So, Kristin: 'Learning to Kill'? Was that your idea or your editor's? Hopefully you were paying more attention than to leave the class thinking that learning to kill was the objective."

I would like to see said thread. Do you happen to have it? I'm not buying it. FS just started offerring memberships after a very, very long time at ~$15,000 for a Diamond. If he is selling them for $99 that's his business but, IMHO, they are worth a lot more. A person can't get an annual membership at a local range for that price...... If I ever decide to sell any of my many different memberships aquired over the years, I would most definately give a great deal to a person who wants to train at a very good facility, but I won't "give them away" for $99. I'll admit the marketing of FS is a bit much, but you simply unsubscribe from the emails and/or phone calls. FS is a lot of fun, educational, and close to Las Vegas......win,win,win.
I agree with an earlier post.......if they are going for $100, buy as many as you can. In reality, if you can get someone to let a Patriot let alone a Diamond membership to go for $500, you would be fortunate. If they are available for $100 they will not be around at that price for long. So, get them while they last at that price........seriously!

I saw the $99 FS Diamond on that website too, don't have its address now. It read that they have permission from FS to advertise, on their website. anyway, its good to get a deal!! But, I won't sell any of my memberships that low, if I do, I feel I am deminishing their worth and it hurts other members who are selling theirs!

1,100 students a day. Classes packed to capacity. Isn't it becoming too late to diminish the value of a lifetime membership? I offered to help a friend of a friend become a lifetime member. They declined my offer. I late found out they signed up a bunch of people as Diamonds for 75 bucks. Seems like the market is really saturated.

Having said that, i still appreciate what Front Sight is doing. Tons of new shooters learning safe, effective gun handling is not a bad thing.

It is no longer on his website as too many FS members complained about it openly advertising. He does however, offer it in his email newsletter. I emailed a copy of the newsletter to OffDutyAlot for his reference.

In my experience, demand is going up for memberships and prices are going up as well.

The price of memberships has never done anything but decrease. We may have hit a bottom of sorts, but I doubt we will see any price appreciation any time soon. There are way too many unused and unassigned ones out there.

I read my posts again and want to offer an apology to anyone who took offense to them. I definately wasn't intending to call anyone a "liar." After I read the posts they came accross a bit harsh. So, I apologize for any offense.

Adding my endorsement of the Front Sight "experience". I've been out there 3 times, and every time, I learned something, had fun, re-learned humility, & was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. I'm almost to the point where I can sing along with the ND stories (heard each at least 3x now...)

The handgun classes students include the whole spectrum of firearms experience: from the highly skilled to the newest of the new - all mixed in together. Those that need more help get it, & the pace of the training for the class is not disrupted.

They really emphasize safety - but every once in a while, somebody decides not to follow the rules.. Last week somebody in a 2-day handgun class loaded a gravel-retrieved 9mm in his .40 pistol & blew it up. Rare, but it happens.

Yeah - I noticed the 'fire sale'-priced memberships offered by that guy too, so I won't be selling for a while, I guess.

                                Advice? SPF 50.
