this could be a good series, curious to see what they continue to do with it.

Yup, my thoughts exactly! I also like the student of the week. Although they were getting a bit redundant. Didn't like the Frank Mir video. He's too full of himself. Kind of like Jersey Shore goes to Front Sight.

Anyways, hopefully there will be more good content. Hope he stays away from turning them into overly long commercials for Front Sight. Subtlety works well in certain instances.

          Happy shooting and be safe.

LOL I didn't know gun/firearm training snobs were 100% all knowing!?

'I've shot tens of thousands of rounds... therefore I'm 100% reliable!' :-P

              On an interesting side note.....

800 e mails since 3/5/14.....2.2/day. I am glad the training is still good however.

                    Train with a limp?

I am going back to FS in two week for a 4-day Handgun class with my wife. i have been having some knee problems and my Dr. just told me that I need to wear a knee brace for about a month that will pretty much immobilize my knee in a slightly bent position. Still want to do class since I expect I can shoot OK but will "be a bit slow." Also couldn't bend over to pick up mags but thats OK as I'll be using a revolver and can tie a string to my speed loader for doing emergency reloads. ;-) Does FS run a special section for the disabled, limpers and general old farts or do I just inform the RM and "go with the flow?"

                      "Dear xxx,

You are confirmed to attend the Precision Rifle 1 course starting on March 23. Attendance in Precision Rifle has increased dramatically over the past few years. As such, we doubled the number of Precision Rifle 1 courses from three in 2014 to six in 2015. Even with the increased offerings, the March 23rd course has 39 students enrolled, which is fairly large. Every exercise will be conducted in two relays, which is per the curriculum. In other words, you won’t miss any training whatsoever. However, if you would like to switch to a future course which will likely have lighter enrollment, you are welcome to do so. You can select from May 4, September 21, November 30, or December 11. If you would like to switch dates, simply go to myfrontsight.com or call us at (702) 837-7433.

We look forward to seeing you at Front Sight.

                      Sincerely,

                      Front Sight Management"

Glad they're adding classes and dealing with the problem. Sending these emails in advance can only help the situation, too. Just FYI for everyone else

Inform the RM, their schedule allows plenty of time for minor problems like this. Don't give it another thought.

-just let the range staff know. You may find having a chair up at the line helpful and they can assist you with that. The best challenge is moving back and forth under the cover for lecture and the firing line. If they put you on one of the short ranges by the classroom, that would be much easier for you. I think they teach most 4-day handgun classes there.

basically just go with the flow as much as you can, and do up to your ability. I'm sure others will be willing to pick up dropped items for you.

in the rifle and shotgun classes, they show you multiple shooting positions, but specifically say that if you don't have the mobility to get into and out of those positions, that you don't have to do them and can just take the shot standing.

edit: AAshooter explained it much better than I could.

Any other Calgunners in the PR1 class this week? There are only 15 of us.
