The items in the armorers shop is now raised 40% and discounted 40%because someone complained about not getting a discount. Now everyone gets a 40% discount...but before you buy check the prices at the gun store in pahrump...they are better.

      Hi +++++,

I was doing some shooting at Front Sight this past week, and I dug up a little intel for everyone on the current construction project.

Before Front Sight can actually construct the new hotel, which will be located where the Phase 2 ranges are, Front Sight has to finish reconstructing those ranges in the Phase 3 range area. Front Sight is making good progress in this area, including drilling a new well and continued berm construction.

You can view a photo of the new ranges that are being built currently. This was on a Saturday, so the construction crews were off, but normally there’s a whole line of construction equipment busily driving all over the place.

      ----------------------------------

After taking a shotgun Course at Front Sight, Bob B. noticed that he had to hold to the far right of the target to get proper placement. He had never had this problem before with his other shotguns, so he decided to test 3 different shotguns, with different ammo combinations. You can see his findings here.

I'll be out there this weekend for shotgun and rifle skill builders. I'll try and snap a few phone pictures Saturday/Sunday of anything new.
We'll just give them the 'ol number 6.

I would never expect to have cheap prices at the pro shop/armorer. I expect to pay a premium for the convenience of buying onsite instead of hoping the LGS would have want I need, and would be open before/after class .

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

My frustration is the stock available is often limited. It seems they are out of a lot of items when I shop there. I expect to pay higher prices for convenience but you need to have it available.

For example, the last time I needed a mag pouch for my rifle class. No big deal, I go to the pro-shop for a Blade-tech mag pouch for a PMAG and nothing available.

I agree, but if they have too much good stuff available at the pro-shop, people might actually use their Iggy bucks

I use a 3X5 card and 8.5X11 sheet of paper at the range to simulate them.

That's close enough unless you are consistently hitting the outside edges. Of course practice will be better in that situation rather than getting the right size.

I just measured and the head box is 3x4.5
The thoracic is 12 wide at the base and the top of the hemi circle is 9.5 inches from the bottom line. Remember that the width goes from 12 inches wide in the stomach area to about 6 inches wide near where you'd just pierce a shoulder.

Business cards make good targets for practicing head shots. Lots of people will give you free targets.

I can't guarantee head shot at a business card from 25 yards standing. not under 2.5 seconds.

Might need to switch to a rifle!

I am on rifle, what I need is a shotgun. I can guarantee a shot with #9 birdshot ....
