I don't have pictures for this one, but I;ve got GREAT ideas for this one too.
So, to seat gas checks on stubborn boolits I made a nice jig. A ring of aluminum bored to .453 with a wider lip on one side that catches a gas check, just. Slip the check on one side, slip the boolit in base side first from the other side, and tap with a small mallet.
Now, this deforms the nose of the boolit, so you need a flat punch and are good to go.
Well, you can get letter punches from harbor freight, that would simultaneously seat the check and punch a letter in the meplat. Why have I not done this already?
...... Because I am holding out until I find a .3" diameter punch of a smiley face. colon and parentheses is sufficient. Sure would make for funny revolver pictures.
