I don't buy their reloaded ammo.
I live in West LA and I am quite willing to drive to the ranges in Van Nuys and Burbank rather than give LAX my patronage. They get most of their range business from weekend goof-offs and anyone serious should know to avoid it.

Yes sir. Total B.S. is what they did

I agree. I haven't been there in over year, last time I was there was to buy ammo (factory new, not reloads). Whenever I have shot there there are always groups of people laughing and taking pictures, immature first timers. One time this guy walked up to me and asked me to show him how to use the XD40 he had rented. He didn't know the first thing about how to use a gun and apparently the range staff let him rent one without really taking the time to show him how to use it.

Same thing happened to me at their range, except it was a guy (and his girlfriend) with a Benelli M4. He was 2 lanes down from me, with an empty lane between us. I was watching him, because his body language screamed "no idea what's happening here". At one point, his girl goes off to the ladies room, and he immediately comes up and asks if I know how to "take the bullets out". I was pretty shocked, that the range would hand over a gun without even the smallest tutorial. However, he may have claimed expert uber-operator status in front of his girl. Either way, I showed him how to download, make safe, load, ready to fire, and fire the shotgun. Figured it was the best way to handle it.

i think i'm done buying from LAX. I live in LA and it always annoys me how there internet prices are cheaper than there store. after reading this thread, i'll no longer buy from them and instead order from freedom. in fact i just ordered 1000 rds of .380 from freedom. LAX just lost another customer.

I have never been to their range but the service sounds like crap.

I can just imagine how much $ they have lost from just my situation.

They just had a On-line Web Page SALE.
As I can Not have AMMMO Shipped to LOS ANGELES COUNTY
I make the Short Drive over on a Sunday in the Rain.
I am the Only Person there Buying Ammo & I was Charged close to $5.oo more per Box of Shells then the On-line SALE Price + Did Not have the Same Items in Stock so My list of What I was Interested in getting was for No good as I had to Pick & Choose from what little they had. then to get Charged more then Online Sale Price.

I Will Now be Happy to Drive out-of My way to Make a Purchase just to Avoid LAX-AMMUNITION in the Future

Too bad one of the other vendors wasn't watching the thread. If I owned a reloading company I would have asked you for your address and sent you the missing rounds, so you could post that company X, made LAX's mistakes right, think I will be shopping with them from now on. Would have been a perfect, cheap marketing pitch and good customer service

I am lucky to have Miwall up the road! No need to purchase from LAX(especially after what I have read about them)!
I once pondered over the debate of 9mm vs. .40, then I was introduced to .38 super and 10mm and forgot all about it.

I would just like to make the correction that LAX Ammunition does not package ammo cans by weight. Each round is chamber gauged in 50 round blocks and packaged directly from there. The fact that there would be such an odd number of rounds missing is a mistake unlikely to happen. HOWEVER, anything is possible and mistakes can happen. As we are a nationwide company that deals with thousands of transactions daily, please understand that we do receive such claims from people trying to get a free hand out.
That being said, I do apologize for the manner your situation was handled and will personally create and implement a new way of handling such situations to which both parties are happy and satisfied.
As for the online prices being different from in-store. It is noted on all of our websites that our prices and availability may vary from each business. I would strongly recommend contacting customer service for specific questions regarding prices, as to not "waste" a trip down here.
Please feel free to contact me directly through message or call our retail store during store hours for more information or with any other issues you may have.

They way you guys handled my situation was way pretty cheaply. I myself will never ever do business with LAX ammo again over it. I have heard and been told by others this has happened before from LAX. No way in heck was I ever looking for a free handout for LAX. I had purchased thousands of rounds from you guys before and had no issues.

2 shipments from LAX and the counts were dead on.
I won't buy their reloads again because I'm tired of the inconsistency in powder loads.

I purchased the 1000rd ammo box from a gun show. The 3 other people thst told me they were shorted on rounds also purchased from a gun show too.

Now that you mention it, I did notice some rounds did have a little more recoil then the others.

I purchased a 500rd box from them last year. Only fired maybe 100-150 rounds but they all felt pretty hot.
