Stepping up to a progressive.

Finally made my decision and ordered a Hornady LNL AP today. $379 at Cabelas with $5 shipping plus that free 500 bullets deal.
I really looked at the Dillon XL650 but there were some things I just didn't like about it. I really wanted to taste the Blue Koolaid.
Anyway, now to remodel my reloading bench while I wait for the new press.

Sweet deal at the pre-crazytimes price with $5 shipping. When you can, buy the case feeder it makes all the difference on the progressive.

Also get the SturdyMount if you didn't buy that yet. Much easier on the shoulder and puts the die-head about eye level.

I paid $429 just 3 months ago. Did have free shipping. Great press for pistol ammo. I do use it for rifle ammo as well but basically do one step at a time.

Stilly I was 99% going to get a Lee Classic Turret and add the case activated linkage and a new hopper. I priced it out and I was looking at just shy of $300 and I would still be priming off press. I was showing my wife the Loadmaster and she said to stop being a stingy bastard (Gotta love her!). Started looking at a XL650 but caliber conversions and the Dillon powder dropper just didn't make me smile. Then I saw the issues some have with powder spillage when the Dillon indexes.
Seems the LNL AP has its own issues as I think they all do. I really wanted a case feeder (Dillon) but I will have to wait and get the Hornady one.

I ordered shell plates for 9, 40, 45, and 223/300 BLK. Mainly going to be a pistol press as I am very anal on my rifle loads, not so much with 223 and 300 BLK.

I'm with you man. The turret may be slow, but it's perfect for what it does.

Congrats on moving up to a progressive. Now you will have to increase your shooting volume to keep up with your loading.

Diversity is ok as long as its Blue and Green.
