Great kit to get you started. It's missing a few essentials (like calipers), but you can't beat rcbs quality and customer service. I started with this kit and have been extremely happy with it, I have made a couple minor changes over the years but essentially still the same stuff in the kit.

          Add a dial caliper!

I love my rock chucker. Single stage is a bit slow, but I appreciate the quality of the thing.

Every gun comes standard with a case gauge! If it chambers the case is good!

Interesting you say that because I was considering the Rock Chucker and after taking the Reloading class, I really dont see where the extra money goes over the Lee for someone like myself who is just starting out. For the difference in price I can buy the dies and all the odds and ends I will need to get started.

Now if I could only find IMR4895...

Yeah well a reloading press is a reloading press. Yeah I said it.

With that said as long as it takes you from components to finished product that you can live with, then it works.

With that said there are different types and speeds of presses. While the turret will never beat a progressive, it WILL beat any single stage around. And the ability that it has to be single stage as well is great. It allows you to still use loading blocks if you like them so much, but not me. I love how it worked fine right out of the box (minor adjustment needed on the indexer) and it has taught me a lot of things as well as allowed me to make a LOT of rounds.

The rock chuckers look nice and have a cool name, I mean, who wouldn't want to chuck a rock? but yeah anyways... They are especially good if you want to do any large amount of swaging also, but then I saw that you can actually swage primer pockets on the turret as well. Imagine that...
