Tulamo sucks

This may be a "well, duh" comment, but this stuff sucks rocks.

I was given 100 rounds of .45acp and 50 rounds of .223 Tulamo for Christmas last year. Time to shoot it...

I didn't even get through the first mag in my .45 and I had an FTE. Before I got though the first box, I had several FTEs and double feeds. Didn't even shoot the second box.

The .223 was worse. I had to manipulate the bolt manually after every round to shoot it. I stomached 25 before I went to my own reloads. Every single Tulamo round gave me issues. Problems with both guns evaporated as soon as I changed ammo

My keltec Su16shoots it without any problems. So does my AR. Maybe bad batch? My cousin shoots it out of his RIA 1911 with no problems either

I had tons of problems shooting Wolf through my AR. Tons of FTE as it was short stroking.

Might be because they are underpowered. When I shoot them through my kel tec their is a huge difference in felt recoil than 55gr American eagle.

I've shot tula thru my ar with no problems. My RIA .45 on the other hand it jammed twice in two 8 round clips and would fail to lock the slide open at last shoot. Switched to Remington on the next clip and no problems

I shoot them all the time. My first choice for target practice, actually, then federal. I hate the wwb, makes a huge mess.

Tula = steel and is garbage for the most part.

Their primers though are a different story.

A rule of thumb for ammo is, Eastern Bloc amm for Eastern Bloc guns, Western ammo for Western Guns. (meaning, mil surp and steel goes through military rifles and the likes, while brass is more for american hunting rifles and ARs. Same with handguns. It could also be that you just have a tighter throat or chamber then other guns and your guns had issues. I never had issues shooting any tula through my beretta or pt-92, but the Microeagle hated the .380 steel cases...

Well there's your problem. Your gun doesn't use "clips".

Shot tons of 9mm through several glocks and my Sig 226 with no issues. Actually considerably more accurate then WWB.

My AR's eat all the 223 I can find/afford to feed them as well.

Yeah for some reason I grouped better with tulamo. I haven't had a problem with them.

Tula and Wolf are just fine in my 45's 9mm and 308.
The yea's have it in this thread so far.

Both my AR and my 1911 eat tula/wolf like a fat kid eats candy. My brother's AR, however, doesn't even cycle PMC Bronze reliably, only 5.56 it seems.

Every gun is a little different, some are definitely more picky than others.

Shoots great out of my Ak and is actually a little hotter than Golden tiger, I wouldn't shoot Tula out of anything else but an ak though...
