I always shot and ways will shoot Tula and Wolf if available. I shoot the 223, 7.62x39, 9mm and 45
Very little to no problems.

I've shot a lot of steel case through my Daniel defense AR, zero problems. Same with my M&P .45 they both run fine on any ammo I use.

The AK pattern rifles I have only eat steel, thousands of rounds of tula with no problems.

My AR runs Brass, target and steel cased no problem. My 9 seems to like steel cased more than brass

Had no issues with 9mm outside of that funky smell and a lil dirty. But in .45, my Sig magazines (not the world's greatest) tended to not like anything more than 6 rounds loaded in them for whatever reason.

in an s&w .40 and a ruger .45, switching to Tula from WWB and Rem UMC produced much better results. clean and oil your guns. if they still don't work, I don't know what to tell you. American eagle is good ammo, made by federal. Win white box and Rem umc are both garbage these days. trying both 40 and 45 in multiple pistols produced the same results. the .45s were as follows; Sig P220, Ruger p97dc, Springfield XD45. the .40s were; HK usp40compact, S&W sigma .40, and a Taurus/beretta, don't remember the model. with federal or tula ammo, none of these pistols, save for the 220, presented any failures to cycle or eject properly. they were also much cleaner. I also tried WWB in my .38/.357 and compared to the cheap armscor stuff, was much dirtier and less accurate. I know it's hard to get ammo for anything these days, but sometimes you have to be picky.

Very underpowered in handgun loads. Not worth the pennies you may save.

I don't have any issues using them in ARs. They are good as range ammo to have in the safe.

I've never had a problem with Tula Ammo. I've shot their 9mm, .40S&W, .223 and .308win without issue. The Tula .308 I've shot was dead on accurate.

Tula is pretty damn clean. Cleaner than WWB. That funky smell you describe I have noticed with all Eastern Block/Soviet/Euro Ammo. S&B has the same strange and very unique ordure when fired. I have never had western ammo nor any of my reloaded powders have the same smell.

Ok, after reading all of this, I wanted to rule out any issues with my gun so I meticulously cleaned my Kimber Ultra Carry II (3.5" 1911), lightly polished the feed ramp, and gauged each of the remaining 50 rounds of Tulammo I had left in .45 to make sure nothing was out of the ordinary.

Seven of the 50 rounds wouldn't slide easily into the cartridge gauge, the rest fit well. Out of this 50 rounds, I only had 4 FTEs and one double feed, but I found something interesting when I brought the target back in. Almost every one of the TULA rounds looks like it was tumbling badly at the 25' distance I was shooting from. The only one that doesn't look appear to have been tumbling was the first round from mag 2. Yeah, I yanked it.

The green circle was just a test of some old .22lr ammo that I wanted to make sure cycled through my new Sig 1911/22. The yellow circles are from one mag of my own reloads I fired after drawing from concealed. Edit: Actually, it was a mag plus a few.

I started in the lower left and went right then up.



I think I'm going to avoid Tulammo from now on.

My experience with Tula/Wolf/BrownBear etc. has always been positive and consistant. My biggest gripe is that its dirty and the ranges dont allow it.

If I lived near the desert and if it wasnt cheaper to roll my own i would probably shoot nothing but Tula.

I buy Wolf and Tula primers by the boatload whenever i can find them as well.
