      As F***.

If it makes anyone feel better i've seen mercury tipped bullets loaded into a .38 SPL before.
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Hinkley didn't use exploding anything.. he used standard 22 lr hollow point varmint ammo.. in a very very cheap revolver (RG). It didn't explode in the sense of explosives, it fragmented in the way lead does when very soft lead hits bone (something somewhat harder). If Hinkley had used a 38, George Bush SR would have been president sooner.

If no companies are making them, chances are it has been tested and didn't work. Bullets are made the way they are for a reason. Even if you could find something that worked and had to use it, chances are you would have extra charges laid against you. No more watching Jaws, or whatever else it was.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I think they used those in Matrix.

When the agents shot, they filmed them in high speed cameras and they put off liquified shockwaves. It was crazy. Then when the helicopter crashed into the side of the building it created a HUGE ripple, because, you guessed it, Agent Smith filled the gas tank with liquified/mercury tipped 50 A.E. ROUNDS from a DEAGLE IN 50 A.E.! YEAH! GO AGENT SMITH! Then they filmed it but they had only ONE chance to film it so they set up something like 1.5 million cameras to get all possible angles... Crazy, I know.

But essentially, if you shoot someone with liquid bullets then you have to hit them in the ankle apparently and that will keep them from jumping out a window on their own and into a helicopter...

OH, are these for JAWS? They will not work on Jaws. He has eaten a lot of mercury tuna and is immune to mercury or any effects. It is best just to stick with sodium or lithium embedded in the lead.

Now THAT would be cool, to have a sodium or lithium infused bullet so when it hits and gets exposure to water it can blow up...

You don't need mercury filled bullets for Jaws, just a 10mm.

Just bite the bullet so to speak and buy some Glaser Safety Ammo. Unmatched devastation when used correctly and not stopped by armor or really heavy clothing.

California for one. Liquid mercury is considered a Title 22 environmental hazard here. We just had to pull all the floats from a job because they were mercury contact switches.

Technically, you're not even legally allowed to throw flourescent lights in the trash here due to mercury vapor.

Has anybody here, besides me, ever tried this? I've tried it, and it works. When I was a teenager, my buddy and I shot a variety of pistol and rifle ammunition into a fifty pound block of clay in the desert and measured the resulting "wound cavities." We started with .22 LR fired from a bolt action rifle. We tested .22 LR solids, hollowpoints, mercury-tipped, and exploding. We made the mercury tipped by drilling out a .22 LR hollowpoint bullet to make a bigger cavity, then filling it with mercury, and capping it with wax. The exploding .22s were made in the same way, except that powder from a firecracker was used instead of mercury. Both the mercury and exploding bullets made much larger cavities in the clay than solids or hollowpoints. So, it does work with .22 LR. We didn't try it with larger calibers.

Is it legal? Probably not. Many of the experiments we did as teenagers were not.

                                Just my two cents,
                                -Will
