In addition to large discounts, if we charge a $5 a month in dues, we can purchase club machinery. A couple Girauds, some dillon super swagers, etc.. that will be loaned a week at a time to club members through the mail. After a few years we could all have some incredible machinery at our disposal.
I was in on the last 2 Xtreme group buys and I remember on the one a year ago Lester had a conversation with a lady at Xtreme and she was shocked at the size of the order. This will have big pull with other companys as well.

I like the idea of the small monthly dues to buy equipment, it will add add up in a short time with all the intrested people.

I live a little far away but I make it to volunteer at the Costa Mesa Calguns booths so I am sure I can make it some of the meetings to be of some help.

If you set a date a location convenient to people they might show. If this starts I have my original lee deluxe auto-index press I would raffle off or trade for a better single stage press. We can use it as a demo in the mean time. I have no use for it and its taking up space.

Dark MOd and Mr.lonewolf. All this is getting me in to a good mood. Nice to see an idea begin to take life.

Lost of ideas running through my head. We definitely need to get together for the beginning steps. If we get big enough possible corporate sponsor ship like lets say Hornady or Dillon. Swag from them and possibly equipment to be raffled off.

Pick a date. If breakfast Sundays work best for me. I usually have Sun, Mon and Tuesdays off. Once we get this rolling it would be great if we could become a sticky or even a sub forum.

I have two RS presses and an extra Uniflow. Not to mention a 550 that needs some work. Working on setting up portable table top reloading press mounts.

I'm way ahead of the game, I already talked to several equipment manufacturers and component vendors at the last SHOT show in Vegas.

That is the next step (since we have enough interest in this project). Any ideas about a good place to have breakfast or lunch that may be convenient for all of us.

Before we jump into the press I would like to have a meeting to fine tune the concept, structure, potential places, equipment at hand, etc.

I'm open to any suggestions and date (as long it doesn't conflict with my sched. working gun shows or Calguns events/shoots).

Don't know if anyone is opposed to the idea, but the first thing that popped into my head was Stonefire Grill in Fountain Valley on Brookhurst across from the Turner's. They've got a separate outdoor patio and (IMO) the food isn't the worst for the price - they have a decent tri-tip and it comes as part of a deal that feeds 4 with pizza, breadsticks and a side for about $25. Of course, just multiply that by however many you figure will show up. It's sit down but they just bring the food to your table and you get your own refills, so no tip.

As I said before, if you need me to line this up - or anywhere else if there are other suggestions (I'm more of a breakfast person myself, but the outdoor patio area at Stonefire would be great for this); let me know how many and a date and I'll make the call to try and reserve it.

Any Saturday or Sunday works for me.

If you could, PM me their handles and ill try to set that up over here. Maybe like a way to set up group buys and help new guys get into reloading, as well as a way to network and share resources. Let me know

This is awesome. I got my reloading gears for a while now but am still a noob when it comes to it. I can really use more guidance from the experts.

I can do oceanside or the like. Down to trade powders or bullets, have a lot of 30 cal and Varget, need more 6.5 and slower powder.

I am glad to see that you are taking the lead on this. There are a lot of people that want to contribute but without leadership experience and skills a great idea can be driven into the ground in short order. Over the years, you have shown yourself to be an effective leader that has earned the trust of the SoCal AII community.
