Powder for both .45ACP and 9mm

I've been using Bullseye for all my reloads lately and it has been working great. I have noticed however that it is extremely dirty

Anyone have another recommendation for powder I can use for both .45ACP and 9mm? I would like to be able to use the same powder for both like I have been.

    Thanks!

It'll be hard to find a better powder than WST. It burns cleaner, cooler, and it's just as accurate as BE. Plus, it has way more volume than BE so the chance of a double load is greatly lessened. IMO there is really no better powder for 45acp. For 9mm many powders work great but WST is one of my favorites.

Unique is good for both! A little dirty depending on the bullet type you use. But the residue wipes off my stainless guns easily. Using Bear Creek bullets, I shot 500 rounds of 38 thru my revolver before cleaning. The lack of leading was simply amazing!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

What do you mean by dirty?

What are you loads, bullet weights, etc?
If you mean dirty in that there are unburned flakes and sooty cases, your loads are too light.
If you mean dirty as in smokey and you are using cast bullets, it may be your lube.
If you mean a light coat of soot all over everything, that's the nature of Bullseye. Even with proper loads, it will turn a stainless steel revolver into a "blued" one in 50 rounds. The soot does not get any worse and cleans up easily.
In autoloaders, the soot does not build up or cause problems in the action. Again, it cleans up easily.

Try Universal Clays (not International Clays or straight Clays) by Hodgdon. You need 10-20% more powder per load than Bullseye, but it burns completely cleanly even when slightly undercharged. Clays does the same, but it is made for low velocity/light recoiling loads and you should not try to push it too much with the powder because it will exceed max pressure ratings before you get up to medium velocities.

Unique is a little less smokey than Bullseye, but again you need 10-20% more powder for the same velocity and in 9mm, you start to get to 100% volume in the case pretty early. At low pressures, Unique also leaves unburned flakes and sooty cases.

I use Unique for both 9mm and 45acp, and it is suppose to be cleaner burning powder. I am not sure about that, since I never use any other powder. But I happy with it.

I was going to suggest Titegroup, but it is pretty dirty also.

Power Pistol for both 6.0gr under a 115gr bullet for 9mm and 6.7gr under a 230gr bullet for 45ACP both loads shoot well and both have room to go up if you want or can go down too. Power Pistol has been a very clean burning powder! For both high pressure loads and low pressure loads.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

                              Unique here, also.

A buddy of mine uses Clays, and says the inside of his brass and his pistols have little residue
