    Lubing

So I started my first 9mm cases today, I started off lubing, sizing, and depriming them, the cleaned the primer pockets, do I need to clean the lube off the cases before I go into putting powder and bullets in them? My sizing die isn't carbide but the rest of he dies are carbide.

Toss the brass in the tumbler after you have sized and cleaned the primer pockets. That would prevent any debri from sticking to your sized brass. I normally tumble for about 30 mins. That's enough time to remove the lube.

Well, a couple things about this:

First, he might not need to tumble, if he used a spray wax like Dillon, or "One Shot".

Second, if he's already decapped, media is going to get stuck in his flash hole, and he'll have to pick out the media case-by-case. That takes forever (believe me, I know).

Third, (to the OP) get a carbide sizing die. It really helps speed up the process in reloading straight-walled cases.

If you don't have a tumbler, there "the liquid method". You use a concentrated degreaser like "Jungle Jake's" and dilute it, then use a bucket and water, with one of those mesh laundry bags:

What my process was going to be is to,

              Size/deprime
              Clean primer pockets
              Expand
              Prime
              Put powder in
              Put bullet in

You can actually skip that step on pistols. Doesn't really have enough of an effect to justify it.

Yes, but even with a carbide die, you should clean your brass before you decap. Makes your reloads function better and doesn't get your die dirty. In a wheel-gun it's not as crucial to clean but you said you were loading 9mm, so it's important for functionality.

It will attract dust and debris, and may clog up your chamber, possibly leading to FTFs and other malfuctions.

The brass was cleaned before I deprimed it, can I just simply wipe it off, or clean it with some water and then let it dry to get the lube off instead of tumbling it and getting media stuck in all my cases

You don't want to put water on loaded ammo. Technically speaking, your cases are not weather proof and leakage can be either inaccurate and/or dangerous.

...for the same reason you wash soap off the dishes... It can mess things up; and you really don't want to mess up with things that go BOOM.

Get a set of carbide dies... Until then, soap and warm water....
Wash, rinse, repeat. Dry. Prime, expand, charge, seat, crimp

Use Hornady-One Shot. You wont have to wipe that off.

But don't use On-Shot with rifle cases unless you have a stuck case remover, ask me how I know.
