I have had mixed service from LEE. I had the Tech guy ask me to send him a bent auto disk base with reciept, and when I called back to verify the shipping address the nice older lady sent me a new base no questions asked. I now don't ever ask for tech support if I suspect something needs replaced, I just talk to the custumer service and they have been great.

So far, the service Lee has given me has been good. I snapped the cam lever on a 6-cavity mould, and they sent me two new ones. I also short-stroked my LCTP and stretched the ratchet square for the auto-indexing out of shape. Lee sent me three new ones (haven't done that again, BTW). I also needed a new indexing ratchet for one of my Pro 1000''s since I stripped some of the threads with the zero-adjustment screw. Lee sent me out new parts, and I had my Pro 1000 back up and running in short order.
Those turrets are made out of aluminum, which makes for easy handling, since they're lightweight. For most purposes, they do a fine job (maybe not certain swaging jobs).
Lee's products aren't as heavy-duty as the equivalent products from RCBS or Dillon. But for the vast majority of reloaders, they don't need to be. After well past 30,000 rounds (I stopped counting after that) on my Pro 1000 in .38/357, the press is still goin' strong. Remember that Lee's market isn't the IPSC competitive shooter putting 4,000 rounds/month downrange. Lee's chief market is the hobbyist reloader, like me.Last edited by Cowboy T; 07-03-2012, 1:50 PM."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

Lee service is awesome and so is titanreloading. they are my go to place for LEE stuff. I picked up some 500sw dies from titanreloading and it had a cracked carbide insert in it. I contacted them and a guy at titanreloading contacted LEE , sent my info and told me just send the die to LEE and we'll send you another.
no muss, no fuss, just heres another one die, sorry about that. great serviceComment

When I was first looking at reloading I evaluated all the players, products and prices. For my overall needs, I made the best choice for me with Lee and continue to believe so today. As far as "inherintly weaker than RCBS, Dillon, and Hornandy equivilants", I'd have to take issue there. Notice how many cracked hubs on brand new Lock'n'Loads as of late that have been posted here? Not to mention other issues like primer tube fittings/performance, shell plate issues and such. No vendor is perfect and each has pros and cons.I'm glad they took care of you, but I also think you have to realize the part broke due to the fact Lee's are inherintly weaker than RCBS, Dillon, and Hornandy equivilants, and of course they are also half the price...so its a cost versus quality and durability decision, but if they give you new stuff for free than you made the right choice.Comment

Ok, so the only reoccurring issue seems to be the primers being flipped. When its bad, on average 1 out of 5 will have NO primer/ or it's flipped. This is happening too often now. I have sprayed w/ One Shot but am still having am issue.
Any advice?? Thankssigpic"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

I am not trying to start the Lee versus Dillon argument...its as stupid as the 9mm versus 45 acp argument. both have their place in reloading. I have had issues with Dillons too. I have had RCBS equipment break or that is substandard and only does the job for a few 1000 pieces. When I was first looking at reloading I evaluated all the players, products and prices. I was just saying, if they fixed it, he went with the right vendor.

I broke the same part about 18 months ago and also broke the top of my press: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=378106
While I was waiting on parts I found a Lee breech-lock single stage press on sale at Bass Pro, so I have been using that for my rifle loads and the turret press just for pistol now, but I have not had to replace anything at all for the last year and a half.NRA Life Member - CRPA Life Member - NRA Certified RSO - USN Veteran
I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Agreed with you in that we don't need that ridiculous Holy War here. I interpreted what he said as just a reminder that all companies have their issues here and there, and that nobody is perfect.I am not trying to start the Lee versus Dillon argument...its as stupid as the 9mm versus 45 acp argument. both have their place in reloading. I've heard that in the past, Lee's customer service was "just OK", especially compared to, say, RCBS's excellent reputation, but in recent years, Lee's apparently ramped it up a few notches to compete. This is good for all of us reloaders."San Francisco Liberal With A Gun"

LoL.I'm glad they took care of you, but I also think you have to realize the part broke due to the fact Lee's are inherintly weaker than RCBS, Dillon, and Hornandy equivilants, and of course they are also half the price...so its a cost versus quality and durability decision, but if they give you new stuff for free than you made the right choice.
Funny you say that. In the Book of Lee (BoLee) it was mentioned that lee made their items 3 times the strength that the average reloaded would need. Yes there were others on the market that were 20 times stronger but they were so costly that the average reloader did not need to pay for those items, even though one such item WAS owned by Lee and used in their factory and it lasted a long time. This according to their book anyways. Perhaps the OP is not the average reloader now...
I am very happy with my Lee Classic Turret as well. I always get in a better mood when I am cranking down the 44 mags and I stop and realize that everything is going pretty smoothly when you consider what I am making. Especially after the last range test I did with the 300-MP...7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...
