I think of it like when I started shooting black powder. Ever try to run a flint lock? It's not rocket science. But when I dont get the spark, or the pan doesnt flash in the hole, I get no bang.

but I don't know why.

But I have loaded enough on a single stage, and researched enough of the single stages and seen enough loading on a progressive I am quite confident that if I was running one and something went wrong, I could diagnose and cure it.

I like my Lyman turret press. I only load 308 and 223 so my dies are set in the press and I don't have any problems with it. A progressive will be in my near future when I start loading handgun ammo.
