Btw I'm only outing myself and not keeping this private because Diginit pretty much outed me before talking to me already.

You guys should really just part ways after the ammo is returned if you guys decide that. It is very entertaining to read and I am at the edge of my seat for the impending volley of return fire, but I could see this turning really personnel and ugly really quick. It sounds like an unfortunate transaction that needs to be chalked up to crappy all the way around. Good on you for saying it was you and getting your side of the story out there, but you took it a little far when you started mentioning your sister which has nothing to do with the transaction and will start the cheap shots, which will close the thread.CALGUNS DICTIONARY "FLIER": when a shooter wants to turn a 1 inch group to a half inch group because he flinched.Comment

To clea rthings upI presume:
The cans were not sealed.
The seller packed the ammo.
Damage was done before clipping ammo.
If seller clipped and packed the ammo he is guilty of fraud.
That kind of damage makes the rest of ammo suspect as to origin.
He should take the ammo back for a full refund or at the very least give you a big discount.
my tuppence
The ammos not sealed even when I got it. I would never take the time to pack 40 cans. I got these as is as surplus. I can't say anything as to how the damage was done as I've never noticed it.Comment

Closing the threads fine by me, I never try to take my business in the public forum. But him calling me a liar and cheating him without any kind of notice is a bit of a shock to me. I wanted to be clear he already did introduce me when he gave me all that info. You guys should really just part ways after the ammo is returned if you guys decide that. Again this was posted before he even said a word to me.It did sound like he was doubtful of my truthfullnes. and I was offended by the statement." If your side of the story is accurate" Like I said... Why the FK would I lie??? I'm still offended. Gunboat... George, The ammo was sent on clips in a can. But shipping could not make these dents and scratches when only one damaged round was in the CENTER of each of 31, 10rnd clips... If there were 2 bad rounds on even one clip. I would have reservations. But there was not. Can you say "setup"? I have seen the bolt marks from both the chamber and bolt side of an AR before. As for the reason for shipping the wrong stuff... I think he thought he had a sucker on the line instead of a trout... I doubt this was a mistake. Read my post again.Comment

MMM... Popcorn...
Just got another PM from the seller. He was man enough to apoligize. I respect that. It takes balls to admit a mistake rather than cover it up with a lie or ignore it.
I can see where he may have doubted me, I didn't think he knew what he sold. He just bought a bunch of ammo and resold it. That's why I didn't mention a screen name and just ask if anyone has purchased from XXXX. This post was my ammo, Just in case....I had no desire to accuse anyone of anything...
He found another box like mine that he had purchased. He tried to chamber the rounds and it was a no go. Told him it was a good thing it didn't chamber. If the bent round stuck in the chamber, His gun could have been FK'ed or worse. Attempting to punch out a stuck, live rnd in an AR with no spring on the firing pin and the bolt locked is not good. If it would have chambered and he fired it, It could break the extractor or tear the head off the case. Too many shooters simply do not know the dangers involved with shooting. He assured me that he will now examine his purchases more carefully. MDM, I'm sure neither of us needed this arguement or hassel. Going back and forth from 8 until midnight was no fun, But I believe that everything happens for a reason. Live and Learn. If you have any questions about your ammo, firearms, or love life. Post pictures! I'd be happy to help, most other CG'ers are as well. Thanks for the replies and Have A Great Day guys and girls!Last edited by diginit; 11-16-2011, 6:59 PM. I think you're right...looks like an attempt to feed/chamber by a semi-auto rifle. I've never seen surplus ammo that looks like that...even my Chinese ammo from the 80's, Yugo ball from the 50's, Canadian M80 from the 70's etc. have never had this kind of damage. Maybe some light corrosion, but not this.I couldn't inspect it. It was shipped from Burbank. I guess I should have known better that to trust anyone... Like he thinks I'm stupid because I have a sense of humor? My profile pics are meant to be funny. It takes a brain to have a sense of humor.
I have never given a CG'er a Negative feedback. The one time I needed to I got a refund. I wonder if his mauser blew up shooting corroded primer pockets...
I guess I should have told this guy to go to Diginit @ photobucket, Diginit @ FB,
or Diginit3 @ Utube to introduce myself first. If I am correct in my diagnosis of this ammo. This may be my first negative feedback with this post's addy for a reference.
Am I right or wrong? CG'ers chime in!
Sounds like the seller is helping you out though...good luck.Comment

Anything can be cleared up through communication! Directed were it will make a difference...anywhere else is gossip.
I had someone here slip in some 8mm turk with a lot of .3006. Then treated me as if I was asking for a favor trying to resolve it. Why I should a. I'm sure he is having a real happy life living like that still.Comment
